Business Advice, Tips & Tricks - Home Business Segments fraza - Jun 18, 2004 - 03:49 AM Post subject: Home Business Segments
Hello All,
I am working on a project to market my product to Home Business Owners. I need to have a clear view of what my target market is? I will appreciate if you can answer my question
What are segments of Home Business Owners for example Work at Home Moms, Retired etc. Also state where on internet I can catch the segment you have specified? Like work at Home Moms at Work at Home Mom forums etc. Please be as imaginative and as practical in mentioning the market segments as possible. Is there a Niche of Home Based Businesses to be targeted?

Hi Raza,
I think you should consider your own marketing segments. Ideas of "Others" may or may not work for you. It's purely depends on "How Intelligent & Parcticle You Are?"
I did not understand the concept of "Work At Home Moms". Beaing a male I can't be a MOM! Is there any "Work At Home DAD" schemes?

I have already marked down my target market. I was trying to take ideas so that if any of the segment of my market would not be missed. Offcourse I would look like a fool if I try to identify my market right from the begining on the forums.
If I am selling for example home business ideas, my ultimate target market would be those who are willing to start a home business, a new business etc. and one of my target market segment would be "Work at Home Moms", isn't it?
I asked you guys to tell me the segments of Home Business Market? What are the different segment of Home Business Market? Any ideas?? Again I have the segments but to further segment the market I am asking you??

Work at Home moms are a good one..... there are forums out there that you can join to target this group.....
There are students just looking for some extra income...... you might want to try college message boards or just putting some fliers up on a local campus (fliers are available at sfimg.com Fraza)
You can also target just about anyone that is already working at home...... many programs out there aren't really the best and people are looking for something else..... try forums like this one or maybe place banner ads on some of the other popular work at home sites.
That's some basic tips for you..... hope that helps a bit!
