Go to Clipart.com and select an appropriate clipart and colorize. Play around with the picture in Macromedia Fireworks next to your TEXT LOGO until you have a result you like.

find a basic font that stands out. some of the best logos are nothing but plain text and a small image that represents it. think about microsoft and fedex.

Logo design is not easy, I created a lot of weather icon for broadcast graphics and to create a successfull icon/logo it takes more than just knowing the software you need to know the fundamentals of design.Pay a designer, you will save time, money and stress if you can find a good designer who know how to create what you're looking for.

How do you expect to get good quality stuff from professionals without spending the money? The only solution to this is if you can design one for your self or ask a friend who knows how to for you. I personally would suggest you to figure out your range, how much can you afford and then get a decent one designed within that range.

Hi, a logo design process usually consists of: The design brief, Research & brainstorming, Sketching, Prototyping & conceptualizing, Send to client for review, Revise & add finishing touches, Supply files to client and give customer service. Hope this will be helpful for you. Thanks!

You can always hire someone inexpensively on one of the freelance sites that are online. There are tons of people looking for work that would like the opportunity to design your logo. You could go that route.

A logo is basically an illustration of your entire company image, which is then communicated to your prospect in a graphic or symbolic way.
