Thanks for the reply Trent...I agree that this would fit for a reason. I got an email from one of the article places I submitted to the other day before i got to your tips...(I had submitted to several websites...Yikes)
Anyway, I got an email back saying they were not going to publish the article since it had already been published somewhere else...
Their reasoning was that most people find articles thru doing a search...here is what they said about it...
| Quote: |
articles that have already been published on other websites because the search engines don’t look too kindly on duplicate content. Basically, what happens when Google (or one of the other major search engines) finds that an article has been published on multiple sites, it drops that article’s search engine ranking significantly. And, since the search engine doesn’t know which site published the article first, it penalizes both sites. That means that both the sites lose, and so does the author of the article. Instead of increasing readership by adding your articles to many sites, you may be shooting yourself in the foot by decreasing your article’s ranking in the search results overall.
If you’re trying to get your articles noticed, you should make sure to only publish each article once. Otherwise your article may stand to lose its search engine status (or potential for search engine status if it hasn’t been published yet).
If users find your articles by typing in the URL of the site that your article is published on and then navigating around, you don’t have to worry about where your article ranks in the search engines. However, this is rarely how individual articles are found; they’re typically found through search. Search engine results are always something you should consider if you’re publishing your work online. If you can rank well (especially on the first page), you’re bound to get a lot of traffic, which means a lot of eyes are seeing your article and, hopefully, a lot of users are clicking on your ads.

I thought that was an informative answer and would also fit with what you said...since search engines don't like duplicate content because it gives their users a poor experience basically.
Very interesting for me in learning all the in's and out's of this whole new marketing tactic...
I think the point of the instructions I was given to place the article on several sites, was to gain traffic thru the members who would already be regular participators at each site. However, I had also gotten an ebook on article marketing that said to do it like you mentioned, Trent, and had explained some of the linking and search engine value. It basically said that if you did it right it would rank your site higher, faster in the search engines...which I think would be a better solution in the long range.
Now comes the time to decide if I follow the instructions given for the course I am working on...or if I take
other advice and mix it as needed...
Anyway, thanks for the reply! It is much appreciated...always good to have feedback and things to mull over when I am learning something new |

Thanks Trent! I will do that with my next article...I think it just makes good sense all the way around to do it that way!
Do you suggest also targeting different sets of keywords in each article also or not?
I am definitely having fun with the article marketing and blogging/forum...i am also looking forward to trying the web 2.0 in future...I have pretty much just used adwords over the last year, but am always looking to learn new things to share with others:)
This forum looks to be a place I will learn alot of neat stuff!
Take Care,

Personally I would just write new articles for different keywords.
When you are rewriting an article to submit it to different sites it's still the same article just worded a little differently.

Yes this is a good forum, however I will say that it has been dying out recently. Another forum I highly recommend is http://www.whydowork.com/forums/ it has always been one of my favorites and I am also a moderator there. |

Great tips! If English is your second language and you're trying to make money online consider getting your work proof read before you post/publish it. |

At present football is usually a hugely well-liked international pursuit, the common steelers football jerseys enthusiasm not to mention public interest of men and women about your FIFA World Cup can be dramatically maximizing. With the actual popularity associated with football, football games and soccer fans thinking of purchasing football stuff, they may shop everything want to from your homes. |

In addition to spelling mistakes one of the quickest ways to lose someone's faith in your knowledge is grammatical errors. If english is your second language and you're trying to make money online consider getting your work proof read before you post/publish it.
If it makes no sense or sounds like it was written by a child...... chances are pretty good that it won't inspire many people to want to listen to what you have to say.
Nice article about articles though....... keep up the good work!
Best Wishes |
No matter how good someone's ideas may be, if the spelling and grammar are bad, I don't use the article. I will clean up a typo, but not the whole thing. I'm sure I'm not the only one with the same standards. I agree that the solution is to have someone proof-read your work before submitting it. Even if English is your native language, if you got less than stellar grades in spelling and grammar in school, have someone (who got better grades than you did! ) check it first.

Writing language also greatly big impact..! |
