...So I got this flag up when I booted... New Update from Microsoft.
"Funny," I thought... The updates usually happen at shut-down - well, don't they?
So now every time I boot, I get a message saying that I may have unauthorised software... Fine. It works. I'm happy enough... But then there is a web site to "Get Authorised."
Suddenly, on this site, I'm being asked to spend more money - For what? "Authorisation."
Has anyone else had this?
More to the point, how can I get rid of it?
It irritates the hell out of me...

I haven't had this happen and I hope I don't.

I don't have a clue what to tell you but if I find out I will let you know. And if you hear anything please keep us updated.

Thanks!

You may have "spyware" on your computer Nick, do you have any anti-spyware software on your computer? Are you using a firewall and anti-virus? These are all CRUCIAL for anyone that gets on the Internet.
Let me know and I can help you...

Matt
